The retirement of Fr. Patrick Jones as Director of the National Centre for Liturgy was marked with a special evening on Thursday, 27 March, in St. Patrick's College Maynooth.
The celebration began with Evening Prayer in St. Mary's Oratory with Bishop Martin Drennan as presider. Professor Liam Tracey O.S.M was the homilist.
Gerard Gillen, Professor Emeritus, NUIM, gave a very entertaining address in Renehan Hall afterwards and the evening ended with a reception in Pugin Hall.
Many past students and lecturers of the National Centre for Liturgy were in attendance. Cardinal Seán Brady, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin, Bishop Raymond Field and Bishop Jim Moriarty were also present.
The ICMA is very grateful to Paddy for all his help and co-operation in the past and we wish him every happiness and success in his new position in Iona Road Parish.
