SUMMER SCHOOL 2014
ICMA Summer School 2014. Last year's course was a great success. Numbers were up and many people commented on how much they liked the new format.
THEME FOR SUMMER SCHOOL 2014 – The Joy of the Gospel
Each year the summer school focuses on a special theme and develops its liturgies, together with its music around it. Last year, we took Evangelii Gaudium - The Joy of the Gospel, Pope Francis’s apostolic exhortation on the proclamation of the Gospel in today’s world. As we launched out into a new era of the Irish Church Music Summer School, we hoped that we brought ‘a joy ever new, a joy which is shared’ through our sharing of the Word and singing our song. We were invited to a renewed and revitalised 45th Summer School just as Pope Francis has ‘invited all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ.’

The following photographs and videos give an account of the work, music-making, liturgies, tutorials and fun times that make up the ICMA Summer School.
Last year's Director was David Saint, Organist and Music Director at St. Chad's Cathedral in Birmingham and Acting Principal of the Birmingham Conservatoire.
What was new last year? Our NEW GENERATION YOUTH CHOIR.
